Says he is ready to chase all criminals and Nigeria’s enemies
Kayode Egbetokun (born September 1964), has become Nigeria’s 22nd and current Inspector General of Police. He was appointed on Tuesday, alongside the Service Chiefs by President Bola Tinubu. He replaces Usman Alkali Baba as the new acting IGP.
He was decorated on Wednesday, by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Shortly after his decoration, the 59 year-old crime fighter drew a battle line against criminals and enemies of Nigeria. He said he felt like a Tiger and Lion ready to chase all criminals and Nigeria’s enemies.
